Goals

• Increase access to diverse capitals for SPOs in the province by advancing them through the investment readiness continuum

• Strengthen the social finance ecosystem in the province 

• Advocate to ensure a fair distribution and optimization of the Social Finance Fund that comes to NL and the Atlantic Region
  

Impact

The Coalition’s is built on the theory that enabling thriving SPOs will lead to community development and prosperity. Our current approach to supporting social innovation is to develop a well articulated and strong social finance ecosystem in the province.

Strategies

• Community engagement: connecting with the public and organizations to understand needs of the sector.

• Iterative evaluation: understand and advance the state and needs of the social finance ecosystem in NL.

• Alliances and networking: collaborate and develop networks both cross-sectorial and geographically.

• Framework design: define a scheme to assess progress and best practices toward investment readiness.

• Potentiate assets: leverage available resources and develop capacity building initiatives.

• Advocacy and dissemination: raise public awareness and promote evolution of government policies to boost the social innovation capacity of the province.

• Coalition’s evolution: develop the Coalition’s skills and knowledge to be able to enable a supportive and well-articulated ecosystem.
